Martin Allen
British Triathlon Federation Level III Coach
Martin Allen has been involved in triathlon since 1991, and had some minor
success at age group regional level in the late 1990's. He is qualified as a
BTF Level III coach, Amateur Swimming Association Level 2 teacher,
and a UK Athletics and British Cycling coach.
Martin has been actively involved in developing triathlon at a grass roots
level, to enhance the future of the sport. He is an Academy Coach for the South
East triathlon region, coaching juniors, and is also the Team Manager for the
Academy.
Martin is a member of
Prime Coaching,
a voluntary organisation committed to raising the standards of coaching and
cycle racing in British Cycling Central Division. He is also a member of Thames
Valley Triathletes (TVT), and of Sports Coach UK.
In his own words: "Although my main priority is triathlon, my objective is to
qualify to the highest level in all 3 triathlon disciplines, so that I can
deliver the best possible coaching in swimming, cycling and running, and have a
greater depth of knowledge. "
